Designs submitted for the red dot award experience a rigorous adjudication process which follows a canon of strict criteria, including degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, durability, and emotional content. Additionally, practical concerns such as packaging solutions and disposal issues are also evaluated.
Furthermore, Hosu was selected as one of the 75 winners of the gold iF design award - also known as the “Oscar award of the design world.” The iF product design award was introduced in 1954 and is one of the most important design competitions worldwide honoring outstanding product design in accordance with criteria such as design quality, innovation, and brand value. Each year iF attracts more than 2,000 product entries from more than 37 nations.
Hosu is quite possibly the first of its kind: an innovative merging of a classic lounge chair with a flexible workspace. The built-in ottoman, convenient rear and side storage pockets and technology accessibility for cords and mobile devices, make it easy to comfortably integrate work and life.
